There are various records of expatriate failure where an expatriate on assignment underperforms and is sent back home. The major causes of expatriate failures have been the inability to adapt to the new physical or cultural environment, family problems, inappropriate selection practices, inadequate preparation and training and the challenges inherent in expatriation (Anderson 2007, p3). HR should help in hiring and managing expatriates to reduce on expatriate failure. According to Anderson, management tends always choose se competent candidates. However, attributes that lead the to the domestic candidatesââ¬â¢ success may not necessarily make them a success internationally. The social and technical calibers of candidates are usually of significance when candidates are being screened for jobs (Huo, Huang thus, fitting in the organizationââ¬â¢s culture (Huo et al. 2002, p.33). Another research conducted at Telebank also proved that selecting individuals to work in call centers also laid emphasis on social competencies. They HRM department s sought people with exemplary communication skills to work in call centers (Callagan 2002, p. 250). The mail survey of 1,713 Western business expatriates in Hong Kong indicated that a spouse accompaniment did not improve expatriate adjustment to new cultural environment or psychological well-being; thus, ruling out the fact that the spouses were responsible for expatriate failure. Research from private and nongovernmental sectors indicate that interpersonal skills and domestic circumstances were put in consideration while assigning expatriates though most of the organizations are known to have used technical competence or merit as a selection criterion (Anderson 2007, p6). Other methods used by organizations in expatriate selection include psychological assessment and residential training programs, interviews, work history and performance in previous and current positions, reference checking and qualifications. Common with international practice, the use of psychological testing is not widespread in the private sector organizations. Several companies have resorted to use technology in Human resource practices such as personnel screening and selection. The good thing with the use of technology is that it saves cost of money and time. Another advantage is globalization of the economy and labor market. In this way, an organization can obtain bright employees regardless of the geographical setting. It also helps reduce biasness in the selection basing on issues such as race, age and weight due to use of standardized HR system. Studies also revealed that fresh graduates from schools had better chances of being employed compared to those who had acquired experience in the industry (Huo et al. 2002, p. 41). In conclusion, a personââ¬â¢s ability to perform technical requirement of the job is mostly used in different countries similarly to a personal interview in hiring expatriates. The human resource manager though ought to be sensitive to the different types of cultures in order to enhance globalization of the organization in terms of expatriate management (Chapman and Webster 2003). Starting at the beginning of the twenty first century, there has been a growing interest in Socially Responsible Investment. There is always a conflict of interest between business and society. From an ethical standpoint, CSR helps create an ideal society due to the actions of companies. However, the economic view is that profit should be maximized. As Leonard and McAdam point out, CSR includes issues such as human rights, workplace, unfair trade practices, ecology, consumers, community involvement and social development among others; and it has a bearing on organizational aspects like manufacturing, marketing, packaging, pricing, and distribution (27-29). CSR has evolved gradually from a ââ¬Ëcompulsoryââ¬â¢ attitude to an ââ¬Ëinstructionalââ¬â¢ one to a ââ¬Ësuggestionââ¬â¢ one. This implies a process towards a complex and nuanced framework to define the concept and implement the practice of CSR. 2. Concept of CSR The World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD) defines CSR as ââ¬Å"the commitment of business to contribute to sustainable economic development, working with employees, their families, the local community and society at large to improve their quality of lifeâ⬠(as qtd in Centidamar and Husoy 164). The best CSR initiatives are taken volun tarily on behalf of companies. Encouragement rather than punishment is a better alternative. The stakeholders in CSR should include customers, employees, suppliers, local neighbourhood etc. A softer relationship rather than a formal one should be the basis for collaboration with various stakeholders. Further, CSR brings together various organizations i.e. makes a network among them or builds communication channels between them (Centidamar and Husoy 165). As long as companies can benefit economically, they will implement CSR. Environmentally sound technology is the perfect example for this trend. Increased investments in technology will finally result in increased profits. Not only can innovations improve the corporate image, but also reduce the costs involved (165). The Attitudes of the Poets in Warning and Old man Both poems represent a picture of old age. Jenny Joseph's view of what she imagines life will be like, and her expectations, where-as U A Fanthorpe's observation of old age, is of her father, and is written from her own experience. Jenny Joseph sees old age as a positive experience. She seems to believe she will be free from responsibility. "I shall go out in my slippers in the rain." She suggests these are the things she would enjoy to do now, but if she were to actually do these now, people would disapprove of her actions. She assumes that when she gets old, others will accept childish actions. Jenny Joseph does not see herself unable to do anything that she can do at the moment. Her picture of old age is one of being active. "Sit down on the pavement when I'm tired." She sees this as being a childish act, as she would not consider sitting on the pavement now. She does not think about the restrictions that old age bring. In "Old man, old man" Fanthorpe presents a picture of her fathers old age. He is unable to do many things he once could do. "Now his hands shamble among clues" =================================== Fanthorpe's father could once do these things for himself but now he needs the help off the other people. Fanthorpe raises issues that are negative towards old age, and how old people are like children, the way they become dependant on others. Most of the behaviour described in both poems is childish. Jenny Joseph seems to see age as a second childhood. "Pick the flowers in other peoples gardens" She sees this an act that children can get away with, she also sees this as a step into a new freedom, where as Fanthorpe... ...cking her father, at his expense, someone suggesting another to be the 'lord' of something is of high status, and so it is funny as it is only a shed. There is also a sense of sadness to the poem, as she recounts of her father not being good with her when she was young. "Not good with daughters" I believe that the motive for this is because of his interest's in D.I.Y rather than the more necessary and essential things in life. Fanthorpes father has seemed to lose all-important aspects of his character, even the aspects that were dislikeable about his personality. He has begun to be dependent on other people, and is unaware of what is happening. I think both poems represent humour and compassion. Jenny Joseph represents the bright and optimistic observation's of old age, where-as Fanthorpe raises depressing and discouraging vision's of old age.

My favorite theme park is Hershey Park, with excitement your heart start racing as soon you make pass the gates wanting to see what is beyond that point. As I walked inside I saw the most spectacular rides that I have properly never seen. Just as you pass the gates you see corn popping, cutting candy being spun, and lemonade gently squeezed to perfection. Your eyes widen with excitement knowing that you finally made it to Hershey Park. just pass the gate the park covers a large area, In the distance you see rides, water parks, and much other activity just waiting for you to jump right in. excitement you run along to reach one of the ride, that you want to get on because of it Fahrenheit, along with the steepest roller coaster you have never seen before. You wait in line with hundreds of people excited and horrified to ride the steppes roller coaster under the blazing sun. Then the time comes when I moved up the line just a second of me getting in the ride, my heart started pounding as I walk inside the ride fated my seat belt waiting to be sent off. Then we were sent off the steep hill and on with the rest of the ride with twist and turns. When it was over I could feel the adrenalin run down my blood want me to go for another ride on the coaster. Then I moved to the next roller coast the storm runner but time the line way shorter it was not dreadful as the last roller coaster. I had to sit I front of many people waiting for the ride to take off, like bolt of lightning we took off as the countdown gets to zero. There are many roller coasters like the bear hanger, in this roller coaster that actually roars like a bear while its moves it has twist and turns that makes you feel like letting everything out you had for lunch. The is the kissing tower were you could spent time with your loved one, the tower goes up in the sky then turns around in the sky, and then back down. After an exciting day you had in the park itââ¬â¢s time to go home. Hershey was fun because I had to go on all the roller coasters, most all had their tasteful candy.

In this paper I will present and critically assess the concept of the principle of utility as given by John Stuart Mill. In the essay ââ¬Å"What Utilitarianism Isâ⬠#, Mill presents the theory of Utilitarianism, which he summarizes in his ââ¬Å"utilityâ⬠or ââ¬Å"greatest happiness principleâ⬠# (Mill 89). Millââ¬â¢s focus is based on an actionââ¬â¢s resulting ââ¬Å"happiness,â⬠# pleasure and absences of pain, or ââ¬Å"unhappiness,â⬠# discomfort and the nonexistence of contentment, rather than the intentions involved (Mill 89). After evaluating Millââ¬â¢s principle, I will then end this essay by discussing my personal opinion about the doctrine and how I believe it can be altered to better suit real-life situations.
